In Short
I am a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Computer Science, Virginia Tech. I am co-advised by Dr. Calvin J. Ribbens and Dr. Godmar Back. I am a GRA for CHECS and work in ARC@VT as a consultant for Virginia Tech's System X Supercomputer. My research currently focuses on improving performance of sparse computation kernels that dominate most iterative solvers.
I have two M.Sc. degrees. The most recent one is from Computational Sciences and Engineering program in Informatics Institute, Istanbul Technical University, and the other one is from Ocean Engineering program in Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Istanbul Technical University. Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering was also my major at college, but I later realized that my desire for computer science was dominant.
